Job summary

King County is seeking a collaborative Grants Manager to administer and oversee federally and locally funded grants within the Budget section of the Executive Office. The role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and delivering high-quality, equitable services to residents.

As part of the Grants Team, you will lead grant development, contract negotiations, and reimbursement audits while supporting a variety of capital and non-capital programs.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, time management, and administrative skills.

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to understand technical language (e.g., federal regulations), technical writing/proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform grant administration functions using established methods and policies; including grant development, contract negotiation and execution, timely preparation of grant payment packages, and maintenance of files.
• Support a variety of complex grant programs and partnerships, for both capital and non-capital grant projects.
• Audit and prepare grantee reimbursement packages for payment, assist with documentation requests, and create reports as needed.
