Job summary

University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia seeks a Grants Manager A to handle pre- and post-award activities within EDM/IDOM, reporting to the Sr. Grants Manager. The role includes mentoring coordinators and liaising with faculty and external sponsors, with a hybrid onsite/remote schedule.

Required: Bachelor of Science with 3–5 years’ experience in grant management. Knowledge of PennERA and NIH eRA Commons is preferred, and supervision of staff is involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 3–5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
• Experience with pre-award and post-award grant management and reporting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit sponsored research proposals, including budgets and compliance with sponsor and university regulations.
• Manage pre-award activities: proposal tracking, budgets, and coordination with PI and ORS.
• Oversee post-award activities: budgets, subaccounts, subcontracts, and salary allocations.
• Provide regular financial analyses, projections, and reports to PIs and the senior administrator.
