Job summary

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI seeks a Grants Manager to lead foundation, corporate, and government grant efforts. You will collaborate across teams to craft compelling proposals and budgets that advance our mission.

You'll build relationships with funders, identify new opportunities, and manage multiple grants with deadlines, ensuring timely reports and donor stewardship. Strong writing, research, and CRM skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 4-8 years of related experience.
  • Two years of grant writing experience in a nonprofit.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong writing, editing, and synthesis of information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • CRM software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Understand funding priorities with staff and document program activities.
  • Draft narratives, budgets, outcomes, metrics, and supporting documents.
  • Write funding proposals, letters of inquiry, and annual reports.
  • Manage the grants process calendar and CRM activity.
  • Cultivate and steward foundation donors and prospects.
  • Participate in Development staff and strategy meetings.
  • Research new grant opportunities locally and nationally.
