Job summary

Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) in Seattle seeks a Grants Manager who will lead the organization’s grant funding portfolio from prospect research to final reporting and stewardship. You will set strategy, identify opportunities, and coordinate with leadership to fund operating support, programming and education initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 yrs experience managing grant process and writing grants.
• Experience with grants ranging from $10,000 to $1,000,000 from various sources.
• Strong knowledge of grant policies, procedures, and budgets.
• Experience with arts and education grants preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to adapt writing for diverse audiences and fundraising communications.
• Proficient with MS Office, databases, and internet research.
• Experience with donor/grantor data in a CRM system.

Responsibilities

• Lead the grant writing process for foundation, government, and corporate applications.
• Track post‑award requirements, acknowledgments, reporting, and stewardship.
• Research and develop strategies for new grant funding opportunities.
• Act as MoPOP liaison with current and prospective funders; attend meetings and tours as needed.
• Maintain internal grants tracking with prospects, proposals, awards, and visits.
• Collaborate across departments to accurately represent programs and outcomes.
• Maintain reference documents on grantor requirements and materials.
• Ensure proposals meet grantor formatting and submission standards.
• Lead post‑award administration including budgeting, policy adherence, and reporting.
• Monitor funding trends and best practices in grants management.
