Job summary

Rose Community Foundation in the Denver metro area seeks a Grants Manager at a pivotal moment of growth to oversee the Foundation’s grantmaking administration across unrestricted, initiative and donor-directed grants totaling about $25 million annually.

The Grants Manager will partner with programs, data and operations teams to implement new processes, ensure compliance, and advance equity, inclusion and community engagement in the Greater Denver region.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of grants management experience at a grantmaking org.
  • Knowledge of best practices across diverse grantmaking processes and tools.
  • Ability to synthesize, analyze, and visualize data.
  • Experience guiding multi-stakeholder projects and change initiatives.
  • Able to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and grants management platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication; strong customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple work streams and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of DEI principles and applying them.
  • Alignment with the Foundation’s values and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an evaluation framework supporting the five-year strategic plan.
  • Recommend grant process improvements to enhance efficiency, transparency, and compliance.
  • Manage ongoing grants administration across programs, donor funds, and matching gifts.
  • Develop and oversee terms and conditions for grant contracts.
  • Maintain grant payment schedules and monitor balances.
  • Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update online grant forms; train staff on systems.
  • Prepare docket materials for board and committee meetings.
  • Provide grant seeker support and communicate priorities.
  • Design and prepare grant reports for internal and external audiences.
