Job summary

Urban Peak Denver is seeking a Grants Manager to lead foundation and corporate foundation grant activities, coordinate with external consultants, and manage the full funding lifecycle from prospect research to reporting. The role collaborates across departments to meet government grant deadlines, ensure contracts are signed, funds tracked, and deliverables met.

Strong writing, project management, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of nonprofit development, grant writing, grant management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven success writing and managing foundation and/or government grants
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate programmatic content into compelling proposals
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and system-oriented
• Experience with Raiser's Edge system and grant tracking tools preferred
• Ability to pass both federal and state background checks

Responsibilities

• Lead foundation and corporate grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports for multiple grant opportunities
• Manage a portfolio of funders, including communication, stewardship, and renewals
• Coordinate with Development, Finance, and program teams to align funding and reporting
• Collaborate with external Grants Consultant and Compliance Manager to ensure deadlines and compliance
• Maintain proposal templates and supporting materials for ongoing grant activities
• Monitor timelines and deliverables across government, foundation, and faith-based grants
