Job summary

Westfield Public Schools in Westfield, MA is seeking a Grants Manager/Business Analyst to secure and manage grant funding aligning with educational priorities. The role serves as liaison between Central Office leadership, school administration, and funding agencies within the district’s Business Department.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll oversee grant proposals, budgets, and compliance, collaborating with Finance and leadership to maximize grant impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting.
• 3 to 5 years of grant writing or non-profit/public financial management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, and Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with DESE grant procedures and GEMS reporting.
• Preference for MUNIS accounting system experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify funding opportunities and write grant proposals.
• Manage fiscal and project aspects of the district’s grant funds.
• Research grant opportunities and inform leadership of potential awards.
• Prepare required federal/state documentation and final financial reports.
• Draft budgets for grant proposals with district leadership.
• Track payroll projections and grant expenditures in Excel.
• Coordinate audits with Finance and external auditors.
• Present grant awards at School Committee meetings.
