Qualifications

• Knowledge of grants management methods and procedures sufficient to administer awards and modifications.
• Ability to analyze recipient financial data and performance reports for compliance.
• Skill in written and oral communications to present analysis and findings.
• Skill in negotiation and resolution of issues with recipients and program officials.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with moderate independence.
• Potential ability to analyze difficult grants management issues and identify alternative courses of action.

Responsibilities

• Supporting grant application, award, amendment, monitoring, reporting, and closeout activities
• Reviewing grant files for completeness, eligibility, and compliance
• Providing technical assistance to grant recipients and applicants
• Responding to grant-program questions through email, telephone, or help-desk systems
• Tracking deadlines, recipient submissions, correspondence, and required documentation
• Supporting financial and programmatic monitoring activities
• Researching applicable policies, regulations, and program guidance
• Documenting issues and recommending appropriate corrective actions
• Escalating complex or unusual matters to a Level III SME or project manager
