Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking a part-time Development Officer Associate to support housing and community development programs funded through HUD and local grants. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, guiding applicants, and maintaining project documentation and schedules.

Minimum qualifications cover a high school diploma, 2+ years in planning or project management, and a valid driver’s license; bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Benefits are available for eligible roles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of progressively responsible planning/project management experience.
• Experience with HUD/local grants, community development, or housing programs preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for housing rehab, commercial rehab, and community development inquiries.
• Assist residents, owners, developers, contractors, and partners with eligibility and application requirements.
• Support program implementation, intake, processing, and interviews.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, and milestone tracking.
• Ensure compliance reviews and prepare routine program reporting.
