Job summary

The City of Aurora is seeking a skilled Project Manager for Housing and Community Development. You will oversee affordable housing initiatives, rehabilitation projects, and complex grant programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

You will coordinate with diverse partners, supervise project lifecycle from initiation to closeout, monitor budgets, and prepare HUD-required reports to support community development efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience with HUD, CDBG, HOME, ESG, and related housing/community development programs.
• Knowledge of HUD regulations, Uniform Guidance, environmental review requirements, and grant administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer housing, rehabilitation, and community development programs.
• Manage projects from application through closeout with compliance and reporting.
• Review eligibility and funding requirements for each project.
• Collaborate with residents, contractors, developers, nonprofits, consultants, and city departments.
• Provide technical assistance to applicants, funding recipients, and partners.
• Monitor budgets, expenditures, and grant performance.
