Job summary

Hesed House in Aurora, IL seeks a Grants Manager to lead the full lifecycle of our grants portfolio, researching, drafting, and submitting federal, state, local, foundation, and corporate proposals to fuel our programs and services.

The ideal candidate writes compelling narratives, maintains deadlines and compliance, and collaborates with program and operations teams. This role reports to the Division Director, Development and engages with funders to grow Hesed House's diversified funding.

Qualifications

• Five years of grant writing or professional writing experience.
• Proven track record researching, writing, and securing federal, state, local government, foundation, and corporate grants.
• Exceptional research skills identifying funders and opportunities.
• Thoughtful project management with deadline discipline.
• Experience with donor CRM databases; Raiser's Edge NXT a plus.
• Familiarity with grant management platforms such as Instrumentl or Grant Assist.
• Writing sample required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of Hesed House's grants portfolio from research through submission.
• Coordinate input across program and operations staff for proposals and contracts.
• Translate complex programs into compelling fundable narratives.
• Maintain a current portfolio of successful proposals.
