Job summary

Southern Arkansas University Tech is seeking a Fiscal Support Analyst to perform a wide range of fiscal tasks in an on-campus setting. The role follows GAAP and state and federal laws, with responsibilities spanning grants administration, budgeting, and financial reporting.

You will develop and maintain databases, post journal entries, assist with monthly and year-end closes, and provide support across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and databases.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies.
• Ability to conduct research and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement grants with budget monitoring.
• Research data and prepare report findings for supervisor.
• Develop and maintain databases and fiscal reporting tools.
• Provide technical assistance on databases and the state accounting system.
• Post transactions to journals/ledgers and reconcile errors.
• Assist with budgets and monthly/year-end closing and produce reports.
• May supervise staff and provide training.
• May manage time records, payroll documents, POs, budget documents.
• Other duties as assigned.
