Job summary

The University of New Hampshire is seeking a Finance Operations Support specialist for the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping (CCOM) in Durham. This role supports program managers, principal investigators, and researchers by ensuring compliance, assisting with grant reporting and post‑award activities, and managing a complex shipping, inventory and procurement workflow.

This full‑time, in‑person position offers a regular 8:00 am–4:30 pm, Monday–Friday schedule and the opportunity to contribute

Qualifications

• Independent judgment in applying policies and procedures and initiative to follow through.

Responsibilities

• External Funding Compliance, Inventory and Logistics management (45%) including regulatory compliance, asset tracking and shipping documentation.
• Grant Accounting (35%) including post‑award budgeting and financial reporting, procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Additional Support Activities (20%) such as budget support, inquiries handling, events coordination, and review of progress reports.
