North Carolina State University seeks an Assistant Grants & Finance Manager to support the Industry Expansion Services (IES) Operations in Raleigh. The role focuses on managing sponsored projects, tracking budgets, and ensuring financial compliance across proposal development and award closeouts.

You will coordinate financial activities, prepare required reports, and assist with subawards and salaries. This position follows a typical M-F schedule and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field with 3 years of admin management experience.
• Experience in contracts and grants administration.
• Knowledge of PeopleAdmin, PeopleSoft Financials and PeopleSoft HR.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office, Google Workspace and web-based financial systems.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage sponsored projects by monitoring financial activity, expenditures, budgets, and projections.
• Coordinate award modifications and required approvals, including no-cost extensions and changes in PI.
• Handle subawards, contracts and project segments through lifecycle with compliance oversight.
• Prepare sponsor-required financial and progress reports with timely submissions.
• Assist with salary redistributions and general day-to-day financial operations.
