Job summary

The University of Minnesota is seeking a Finance and Budget professional to support the Research and Outreach Centers (ROCs) within CFANS. Based at the Southern Research and Outreach Center in Waseca, you will manage day-to-day finances, assist with pre-award and grants, and drive consistent financial practices across the ROC network.

You will collaborate with ROC leadership and SPA colleagues to forecast budgets, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with university policies.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree plus two years of work experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Excel, Word, Google Drive, and PeopleSoft Financials.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day finances for the ROCs.
• Prepare periodic reports for grants and non-sponsored funds.
• Assist with budget forecasting and annual planning.
• Maintain the chart of accounts and internal reporting.
• Support pre-award and grants processes with SPA.
