Job summary

Women’s Advocates in Saint Paul seeks a Grants Manager to implement an institutional fundraising plan, manage multiple grant cycles, and ensure timely proposals and reporting. The role collaborates with the Development and Finance teams to secure funding, manage budgets, and maintain strong funder relationships.

The position is full-time with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote), offering comprehensive benefits and a budgeted pay range of $75,000–$87,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible grant writing and grants management experience, with a demonstrated track record of securing and managing competitive grant funding.
• Experience researching, writing, and submitting successful proposals to federal, state, local, corporate, and private foundation funders.
• Experience developing and managing grants that support housing stability, homelessness prevention, domestic violence housing programs, supportive housing, rapid rehousing, emergency shelter, or other housing-related services.
• Strong knowledge of housing and human services funding streams, including government and private funding opportunities that support survivors of domestic violence and their families.

Responsibilities

• Writes and manages state, federal, county, foundational, and city grants.
• Prepares and submits proposals and reports in accordance with RFPs and requirements of public and private funding sources.
• Develops narrative proposals based on information from program staff, previous proposals, input from the Survivor Advisory Council, and data from publications and research.
• Communicates with the Development Director, the Director of Finance, and the Executive Director about new grant opportunities, grant renewals, and status of existing proposals.
• Collaborates with Programs staff to complete progress reports and work plan updates, tracks program data, outcomes, and performance metrics.
• Maintains grant records, due diligence materials, and audit documentation.
• Attends monthly Development team and board meetings, submitting monthly grant reports.
