Restoring Lands: A Wisconsin Land Trust is seeking a Grants Manager to lead grant writing, coordination, and reporting activities. This role will work closely with program, administrative, and development teams and report to the Chief Philanthropy Officer.
The position is full-time, with potential for reduced hours for the right candidate and is based in Wisconsin. The Grants Manager will identify funding opportunities, manage the grant lifecycle, and ensure timely reporting and compliance.
Position Summary:
The Grants Manager will write and coordinate private and government grants; initiate discussion and decision making with program, administrative, and development team members; seek data and information to inform reporting; establish and steward relationships with foundation staff; write grant proposals and reports; and research new funding sources. This role is the main point of contact for the organization’s grant program and reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer.
Success in this position will be achieved by growing private and government grant support, and the management of the full life cycle of a grant is executed independently from the Chief Philanthropy Officer. The grants manager will support the grant management process from proposal development to grant reporting and closeout including creating a project management timeline and process to gather information from the team in a timely manner, and requirements are completed at a high degree of self-sufficiency and excellence. This position is anticipated to be full-time; however, we are open to someone interested in working less than full-time with the right level of previous experience.

Work hours are daytime, Monday – Friday and potentially occasional evenings if required to meet grant/foundation needs. The successful candidate will be expected to work in the West Bend and Milwaukee office locations when needed with a flexible schedule and work from home as desired. Opportunities will also arise to support agency events, but attendance is not required.
