Job summary

The SAFE Alliance is seeking three Grants Managers for the Development Program in the Grants department. You will identify funding opportunities, cultivate funder relationships, and manage a portfolio of grant applications, reports, and related activities.

This role involves collaboration with program staff and leadership, and may include domestic travel and some hybrid work arrangements. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, at least

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a field with emphasis on research and writing.
• Minimum of 3 years in grant prospecting, grant writing, and grant management, preferably for nonprofits.
• Strong persuasive and analytical writing, editing, and research skills.
• Experience with a range of grants from small philanthropic to large local/state/federal.
• Ability to work with staff across an organization and manage projects as part of a team.
• Experience serving survivors or vulnerable populations is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive as needed.
• Completion of required training and compliance with policies, including background checks and TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of philanthropic and governmental grant applications and reports.
• Identify funding opportunities and cultivate relationships with funders.
• Coordinate grant proposals and reports with program staff and finance.
• Draft and edit letters of inquiry, grant applications, and reporting materials.
• Ensure timely, coordinated grant processes across departments and campuses.
• Travel as required; some remote/hybrid work available.
