Job summary

GHR Foundation seeks a seasoned Grants Manager to oversee comprehensive grants management for GHR and client foundations. You will manage workflows, data systems, compliance, and training across teams, ensuring high-quality service and accurate reporting.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Operations, supervising the Grants Management Associate and collaborating with program staff and finance. Strong data skills and policy experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in philanthropy, operations, or data management.

• Extensive experience with database administration and data management.
• Customer-service orientation with proactive problem-solving.
• Extensive training experience across technology and processes.

• Experience writing and monitoring policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and think strategically; good diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual work plan and budget for grants management.
• Design and monitor grants workflows; improve systems and policies.
• Work with finance to process grant payments and provide reporting.
• Solve complex grant scenarios; liaise with finance or legal counsel.
• Supervise Grants Management team and support professional development.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices and regulatory developments.
• Design and maintain grants database, dashboards, reports, and data structures.
• Respond to complex data requests with analysis and dashboards.
• Monitor internal grant-making metrics and trends; conduct audits.
