Job summary

University of South Carolina is seeking a Grants Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative support across the lifecycle of sponsored projects. Under the Grants Administrator, you will develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and support the stewardship of the department's research portfolio.

Qualifications

Position Description Advertised Job Summary Under the direction of the Grants Administrator, the Grants Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support across the full lifecycle of sponsored projects, serving as a critical link between pre-award and post-award grant administration. This position collaborates closely with principal investigators, departmental leadership, central administrative offices, and external sponsors to facilitate proposal development and submission, coordinate award setup and implementation, monitor project activities, and ensure compliance with sponsor, institutional, and regulatory requirements. The Grants Coordinator promotes the efficient management of sponsored programs by supporting seamless transitions from proposal development through award closeout, enhancing communication, and contributing to the successful stewardship of the department’s research portfolio.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
