A top-ranked research university is currently searching for a Grants & Contracts Specialist for one of its growing departments to perform Pre- and Post-award accounting duties for complex grants and contracts. Responsibilities:

• Perform pre- and post-award accounting duties for complex grants and contracts.
• Prepare, negotiate, and monitor grants, contracts, and budgets.
• Maintain award-related schedules, prepare complex government applications and reports, and interpret policy and procedure.
• Monitor account activity, perform internal audits, resolve complex issues, and review routine financial documents.
• Develop and implement accounting techniques and procedures for operational improvements, assist with managing special projects, and prepare operating budgets.
• Work with Industry Sponsors and Foundations.
• Prepare and meet regularly with faculty/supervisor to review financials.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Some knowledge of clinical trials and grants is highly preferred.
• At least two years of accounting, financial administration, and/or compliance experience required.
• Strong attention to detail.
