Job summary

Louisiana State Police in East Baton Rouge Parish seeks an experienced Contracts/Grants Reviewer 4 for a temporary, part-time WAE role to support the Grants Unit. You will research funding opportunities, prepare and monitor contracts, budgets, and sub-grants, and review expenditures for compliance.

The ideal candidate has substantial contracts/grants or financial management experience and can manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in contracts or grants management, procurement, financial management, or accounting.
• Six years of full-time work experience plus two years in contracts or grants management, procurement, financial management, or accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience in contracts or grants management, procurement, financial management, or accounting.
• Advanced degree in business or public administration, finance, economics, or statistics plus one year of experience in contracts or grants management, procurement, financial management, or accounting.
• Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, and monitor complex contracts and/or grants in accordance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
• Collaborate with administrators and personnel to resolve contract problems.
• Maintain records; prepare reports and correspondence related to contracts and/or grants.
• Assist program personnel in grants proposals or contracts agreements.
• Review reports to ensure costs claimed are allowable and that contracts/grants are on schedule.
• Track approvals for contracts/grants to ensure all necessary approvals are received.
• Research grant awards and state budgets to ensure funds are available.
• Obtain and review performance evaluations after project completion to comply with state law.
• Perform entries, reconciliations, and adjustments to grants accounting records.
