Job summary

The State of California is seeking an Analyst II/Analyst I to support the Early Education Division in managing funding applications and grant programs. The role blends fiscal oversight with grant documentation, RFAs, and CFAs, and provides technical assistance to grantees and internal teams.

The position is HYBRID, headquartered in Sacramento, with a path for hybrid telework for eligible California applicants. Strong Excel and data management skills are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in fiscal management.
• Experience preparing and reviewing fiscal documents, such as invoices, expenditure reports, and budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in data management and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to independently research issues and complete work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Support development of funding applications and fiscal management of grant programs within the EED.
• Assist with development and review of RFAs and CSPP CFAs.
• Write, review, and prepare grant documents and provide technical assistance to grantees and internal staff regarding CFAs, RFAs, contracts, and grants.
