Job summary

The University of Chicago’s PSD Local Business Center seeks a Grants & Contracts Analyst to handle routine pre-award and post-award activities related to grant proposals and funding within a department. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

The role includes budgeting, account creation, expense monitoring, and coordinating with research administration and HR to ensure compliance and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary account administrator for account owners in a customer service environment.
• Prepare budgets for grant submissions and allocate expenses.
• Help prepare monthly reports and advise on financial impact of HR and academic decisions.
• Process and reconcile account transactions (purchases, travel expenditures).
• Coordinate with University Research Administration, HR, and Financial Services staff to troubleshoot issues.
