Job summary

The City of Decatur, IL is seeking a Grants Specialist – Reporting and Financial Compliance to own reporting, monitoring, and audit functions for grant-funded programs. You will ensure timely submissions, maintain records, and support cross-functional teams to maximize public funding impact.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree and at least one year in grants administration, with strong analytical, regulatory, and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, public administration, social services, or a related field
• Minimum of one year of experience in grants administration, accounting, or related field
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Responsibilities

• Grant Compliance & Reporting: identify, prepare and submit required documents and reports for grant submission
• Financial Management & Budget Support: assist with budget development and related documentation
• Audit & Documentation Support: maintain files and support internal/external audits
• Collaboration & Program Support: work with Grants Manager and staff to support program success
