Job summary

Baltimore City Public Schools seeks a Grant Compliance Specialist to guide grant implementation and reporting. You will work with staff and agencies to ensure compliant expenditures and timely reporting, both on site or remotely as needed.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least three years experience managing grant funds, with familiarity across local, state, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Three (3) years successful related professional experience in monitoring sponsored or non-sponsored projects and tracking expenditures (education environment preferred).
• Experience with county, state, federal, and/or private agencies desirable.
• Experience with contractual agreements desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provides guidance and technical assistance in grant program implementation and reporting.
• Responds to BAS issues during/after work hours as assigned.
• Monitors grant programs and report components, communicating with staff and agencies.
• Uses databases and online tools to track grant information and generate reports.
• Advises instructional staff to resolve grant questions during implementation.
• Performs grant reviews to identify concerns and ensure expenditures meet requirements.
• Provides technical advice in grant program and financial matters.
• Coordinates with budget and financial staff on grant programs.
