Job summary

Baltimore City Health Department seeks a dynamic Grants Manager to oversee annual grantsmanship strategies, work with the Grants Director and Finance team, and identify funding sources aligned with BCHD’s mission. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will manage proposals, budgets, and reporting while coordinating with program managers and grant partners to ensure compliance and successful funding outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six years of administrative, technical or professional work experience, including at least one year in supervision or project management.
• Must have a valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver's license.
• Upload a copy of your valid driver’s license with the application.

Responsibilities

• Set annual grant goals and track development, submission, and award activity.
• Draft, review, and submit grant proposals, letters of intent, and required reports.
• Coordinate cross-departmental input (data, narratives, budgets) for applications.
• Monitor monthly progress toward grants goals and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain records of monthly grant expenditures and funder-approved budgets.
