Job summary

Vander Weele Group is seeking a Grants Accounting and Compliance Specialist for a fully remote role. The position pays $85,000 to $95,000 per year and may require up to 25% travel.

You will support compliance monitoring, test internal controls, and ensure adherence to federal and state grant rules. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting with CPA/CFE preferred and have 7+ years in audits, grants monitoring, or regulatory review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA and CFE preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in internal/external audits, grants monitoring, compliance, or regulatory review.
• Strong knowledge of Federal grants and the Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200).
• Excellent written communication and critical thinking to form technical judgments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines and collaborate with clients.

Responsibilities

• Review expense reimbursements for equipment, supplies, and personnel against Uniform Guidance to produce testing reports.
• Analyze workflows and interview stakeholders to identify noncompliance and mitigate risks.
• Meticulously test processes to verify alignment with grant rules and project requirements.
• Draft actionable recommendations to address deficiencies and improve monitoring tools and compliance matrices.
• Collaborate with management to implement solutions and manage multiple client assignments.
