Job summary

SUS is seeking a Grants Manager in New York to support the Grants Department under the Director of Grants Administration. The role involves managing a portion of SUS’s grants and funded programs, coordinating with fiscal and program teams to ensure compliant reporting and budgeting.

The position requires 2+ years in grants management, strong Excel and ERP experience, and proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 2+ years of grants management and/or public sector funding experience.
• Experience undergoing and supervising audits.
• Knowledge of grant & contract reporting and OMB requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience with ERP systems and audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual claims and budgets for funders.
• Monitor contract budgets and program performance on a monthly basis.
• Maintain grants-related balance sheet accounts and accurate funding files.
• Respond to audit requests under supervision.
• Analyze financial performance and provide reporting and commentary to leadership.
