Job summary

UCAR is seeking a Budget Analyst II to support the CPAESS program within the Business Shared Services team. You will manage end-to-end proposal administration, monitor burn rates, forecast funding needs, and ensure regulatory compliance across grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements.

You will collaborate with principal investigators, center leadership, and federal sponsors, translating complex financial data into actionable insights while maintaining strict timelines and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and federal funds administration experience.
• Experience with grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements is required.
• Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance and FAR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end proposal administration for research grants and contracts.
• Monitor budgets, forecast expenditures, and ensure cost allowability.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for sponsors.
• Coordinate with PIs, program managers, and sponsors on subawards and amendments.
• Maintain compliance with sponsor requirements and institutional policies.
