The role builds expertise in complex portfolios, including multi-sponsor grids and varied reporting requirements, while maintaining strong relationships with faculty and the Office of Research Administration.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in General Studies, Business, Finance or Healthcare Administration; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1-2+ years experience in research administration-related work.
• MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff to administer assigned grants and subawards, ensuring compliance with sponsor and institutional requirements.
• Monitors financial activity, supports PIs in managing award progress and reporting requirements, and maintains accurate accounting records.
• Assists PIs with budget development, effort reporting, and financial reporting; reconciles accounts against the General Ledger.
• Serves as liaison between PIs, departmental staff, and ORA/SPAO to address financial, compliance, and administrative issues.
