Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking an Associate Vice President for Grant Accounting and Sponsored Programs to lead the SPAO function across Thomas Jefferson Health System. You will oversee post-award financial operations, ensuring compliance with Uniform Guidance, sponsor terms, and institutional policies while collaborating with ORSS, investigators, and finance leadership to steward sponsored funds.

The role requires extensive leadership experience in healthcare/academic finance, strong GAAP

Qualifications

• Must have 7–10 years in accounting, audits, or sponsored programs.
• Experience leading professional staff in healthcare/academic settings is required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial governance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee SPAO post-award accounting operations.
• Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance and sponsor terms.
• Prepare sponsor financial reports, invoices, and awards closeout.
• Lead audits and coordinate corrective action plans with stakeholders.
• Develop and monitor internal controls and performance metrics.
• Partner with ORSS and investigators to resolve financial issues.
