Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Grants Financial Analyst to partner with Principal Investigators and Department Administrators. You will develop grant submissions, forecast budgets, monitor fund statements, and manage accounts payable/receivable, while liaising with grantors and subcontractors.

You will ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines, support pre-award and post-award activities, and help navigate the research proposal process.

Qualifications

• Experience in research administration (1–2 years) required.
• Proficient with spreadsheets, databases, and accounting.
• Ability to manage large financial data sets accurately.
• Understanding of funder guidelines and sponsor policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process grant proposals, awards, and transactions; maintain grant records.
• Assist with budgets, justifications, and financial reporting materials.
• Review proposals for sponsor guidelines and ensure compliance.
• Process purchase orders; manage accounts receivable/payable.
• Serve as Pre-Award/Post-Award resource for departments and PIs.
• Monitor expenditures and advise on cost allowability.
