Job summary

UTMB Health in Galveston, TX, seeks a Grants Administrator to serve as the department's expert on government regulation of externally funded research and to provide training to faculty and staff.

The role acts as the primary liaison with Sponsored Programs, NIH, and other research bodies, while developing and maintaining research budgets, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with policies and timelines. A Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience are required.

• Works jointly with all Principal Investigators within the department to facilitate and support research.
• Advises Departmental Administrators, Principal Investigators, and staff on fiscal responsibilities and project timelines.
• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
