Job summary

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Grants Manager to oversee day-to-day grants activity, lead Grant Analysts and Grant Billers, and ensure GAAP and Uniform Guidance compliance. This role reports to the Director of Grants & Compliance and is located at our Denver office.

The candidate will manage billing, audits, and subrecipient monitoring, coordinate with program staff on budgets, and prepare complex grant schedules for auditors and management reviews.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of homeless issues and sensitivity to underserved populations.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Ability to research, compile, analyze and disseminate information.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, contractors, auditors, vendors, government officials and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage Grant Analyst and Grant Billing staff.
• Reviews grant billings and reports to meet billing/ reporting due dates.
• Provide training of Grant Analysts and Grant Billers.
• First point of contact for grant inquiries from internal staff and external contacts.
• Pre- and post-award fiscal management and compliance of grants.
• Review monthly general ledger duties to provide accurate financial statements.
• Coordinate with Program staff on budget planning and goals.
• Monitor spending and resolve issues related to grants and audits.
• Liaise with external auditors for single audit and ASC 606 schedules.
• Provide guidance on fiscal laws, rules, and procedures.
• Assist with match requirements and budget amendments.
• Oversee subrecipient expenditures for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist APR preparation and submittal.
• Draw payments from funder websites for timely payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
