Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools Accounting Office in Ashburn, Virginia seeks a part-time Grants Accountant to support monthly financial reporting, payroll projections, and grant accounting functions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 2 years in payroll/HRMS/Oracle, GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel. You will prepare reports, assist with year-end projections, and advise program staff on budgeting and fiscal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Two years of payroll/HRMS/Oracle experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP and ability to prepare complex reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and year-end projections of disbursements and balances for salary and benefits.
• Maintain financial records, submit reimbursement requests, and project carry-over balances.
• Use financial software to prepare statements and discuss account status with managers.
• Reconcile fixed asset records and payroll data, posting to the financial system.
• Assist with projections of expenditures and provide budgeting counsel to staff.
