Job summary

WV Department of Human Services seeks an entry-level grants analyst in a training capacity to support sub-recipient grants. You will learn to formulate plans for timely submissions and coordinate with Bureau units to develop BBH budgets and budget line items according to guidelines.

Role includes monitoring grants, processing change orders, managing invoices, seeking extensions, and closeout forms, plus weekly status reports and expenditure research for federal grants.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare budgets and reports.
• Strong mathematical and accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Learn and plan the sub-recipient grants process for timely submissions.
• Request assistance from units within the Bureau as needed.
• Assist in developing BBH target funding and line-item budgets.
• Monitor grants and change orders; manage invoices and extensions.
• Provide weekly status reports for all grants and changes.
• Conduct expenditure research and budget calculations for federal grants.
• Support processing federal grant applications and carryover calculations.
