Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 24 semester hours in accounting.
• Certification or registration as a Public Accountant in West Virginia may be substituted for the training.
• Entry-level position with training in sub-recipient grants process.

Responsibilities

• Learn to formulate plans for the grants process to ensure timely submission of grants.
• Request assistance from various units and sources within the Bureau as needed.
• Assist grantee in developing BBH target funding budgets and detailed line-item budgets.
• Monitor grants, process change orders, and ensure invoices are received and processed.
• Prepare weekly status reports for all grants and change orders in progress.
• Conduct expenditure research and analysis to inform budget and program provisions.
• Assist in developing budgets for federal grants and processing grant applications and carryover calculations.
