Job summary

The Kenneth Rainin Foundation in Oakland is seeking a self-motivated Program Associate to join a collaborative team. The role supports the Arts, Education and Health grantmaking program through administrative, research, data analysis and communications tasks.

You'll assist with grant processes, budgeting, meetings, knowledge management, and reporting while coordinating with Grants Management, Communications and Accounting teams.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience; nonprofit sector experience is highly desired.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to identify, collect, organize and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Rigorous attention to detail and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with grants management and program teams to provide exceptional customer service for applications, reporting, and grant activities during grant cycles.
  • Supports financial review processes with programs, finance and grants management.
  • Conducts independent research to support strategic aims, including developing content for reports and meetings.
  • Participates in and documents meetings and assists with post-meeting tasks to produce collaborative work products.
