Job summary

The Community Foundation of Greater Flint seeks a Program Officer to advance grantmaking, community leadership, and strategic partnerships within the foundation and with external partners.

The role collaborates with foundation staff, volunteers, schools, local government, and donors to identify and address community needs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Grantmaking support for Geographic Affiliate and Flint Women and Girls Fund.
• Provide staff support to grantmaking advisory committees and prepare materials.
• Evaluate proposals, monitor grants, and communicate progress to grantees.
• Assist with securing additional financial and other support for projects.
• Research and present findings to the Board of Trustees on grantmaking and initiatives.
• Foster partnerships and collaboration among grantees and stakeholders.
• Provide information and stories for donor stewardship and external communications.
• Support donor-advised funds by analyzing community needs and priorities.
