Job summary

Community Foundation of Greater Flint seeks a Program Officer to advance grantmaking, community leadership initiatives, and strategic partnerships within Flint and the surrounding region. You will support Geographic Affiliate and Flint Women and Girls Fund grant programs, collaborate with staff and external partners, and help define community needs and program strategies to meet them.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public policy, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant nonprofit experience.
• Experience with grantmaking and donor relations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Offer technical assistance and clarify grant program priorities and processes.
• Evaluate proposals, monitor grants, and communicate with grantees.
• Support grants management from start to finish.
• Assist advisory committees with review materials and donor engagement.
• Research and present findings to the Board on grantmaking and community initiatives.
• Foster partnerships and inclusive processes to align with strategic priorities.
