Job summary

Mikva Challenge is seeking an Institutional Giving Manager to secure and steward foundation, corporate, and government support. The role focuses on grant development, management, and compliance within a collaborative Advancement team.

The position is hybrid (Chicago, IL or DC area) with up to 10% travel, reporting to the Senior Director of Institutional Giving. A four-to-six year fundraising background is preferred, with strong grant writing and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years fundraising experience with grant writing and management.
• Experience with foundation grants; corporate/government fundraising preferred.
• Strong storytelling and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of grant management lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and timely submission of grant materials, including letters, proposals, reports, and funder presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-department staff to gather program updates and ensure accurate grant reporting.
• Ensure compliance with funder and government grant requirements, deadlines, site visits, and updates.
• Provide writing support for donor acknowledgments, stewardship, and funding requests.
• Collaborate with communications to create compelling fundraising materials.
• Manage a portfolio of institutional funders to drive revenue goals.
