Job summary

The City of Moses Lake is seeking a Grant Writer/Administrator to research, draft, and submit proposals under the direction of the Finance Director. You will manage grant contracts, track compliance, and prepare reports for City, State, and Federal agencies.

You will build relationships with funders, donors, and city staff while supporting annual budgets and presenting information to councils and departments. A background in grant administration and budgeting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or closely related field
• 1–2 years of grant writing/administration experience
• Public sector or municipal government experience preferred
• Ability to pass background checks (reference checks and criminal history)

Responsibilities

• Manage grant contracts under guidance of City Manager and Finance Director
• Oversee grant activities before and after award
• Review proposals for completeness and required data
• Track grant requirements and prepare City, State, and Federal reports
• Maintain relationships with funders, city staff, boards, and the public
