Job summary

The City of Moses Lake is seeking a Grant Writer/Administrator to research, draft, and submit grant proposals and to build and maintain relationships with funders. The role requires tracking grant compliance, preparing reports, and providing support to staff and City Council on grant-related matters.

Under the Finance Director and City leadership, you will manage contracts, review proposals, and assist in preparing annual reports and budgets. Spanish language skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field; work experience considered.
• 1–2 years' grant writing/administration experience preferred.
• Public sector or municipal government experience is a plus.
• Ability to pass background checks and work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and submit grant proposals to multiple funders.
• Manage grant contracts under city direction and ensure compliance.
• Track grant budgets and prepare financial reports.
• Coordinate with departments, contractors, and consultants.
• Prepare presentations and maintain funder relationships.
