Job summary

Family First, Inc. is seeking a grant writer to oversee grant-seeking efforts. The role reports to the director of development and supports foundations, grants, planned giving, and the overall development team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will identify grant opportunities, maintain proposal templates, manage submissions, and provide reporting on outcomes while coordinating donor campaigns for planned giving and matching gifts. This is a hybrid role based in Tampa, FL.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in nonprofit development with proven grant writing and planned giving experience.
• Experience with foundation research tools and donor management systems (HubSpot and Candid preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Aligned with Family First mission and its programs (All Pro Dad and iMOM).
• Tampa, FL location with Hybrid work arrangement

Responsibilities

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission.
• Stay informed on grant opportunities, funding trends, and philanthropic developments.
• Create a repository of grant proposal templates and maintain supporting documentation.
• Manage all grant submissions: gather information, write/edit proposals, track process.
• Provide tracking and reporting for granted funds and deliverables.
• In partnership with our estate planning vendor, manage campaigns with donors for planned giving.
• Execute campaigns to improve matching gift donations with development managers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership.
