Job summary

DDG is seeking a Grant Writer II to secure external funding for a municipal client in Baton Rouge. You will identify opportunities, craft competitive proposals, and coordinate with engineers and departments to ensure alignment with municipal goals.

The role requires strong analytical writing, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while navigating varied agency requirements and submission platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; proven grant administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of grant compliance and reporting requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify grant opportunities from local, state, federal, and other agencies.
• Develop high-quality grant proposals with narratives and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for information and alignment.
• Adhere to agency requirements and submission deadlines.
• Prepare and submit application materials accurately and on time.
• Track statuses and maintain organized grant records and calendars.
• Respond to agency inquiries and support revisions or resubmissions.
• Assist in developing proactive grant-seeking strategies and calendars.
• Keep internal teams informed about open opportunities and deadlines.
• Perform other grant-writing and research duties as assigned.
