Job summary

ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company, is seeking a full-time Grants Manager and Writer to oversee federal and state grants for governmental entities across Louisiana and other states.

You will research opportunities, develop grant applications with budgets and supporting documents, manage awarded projects, and ensure compliance and timely reporting while coordinating with program staff and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Proven experience in grant writing and management, preferably for governmental infrastructure projects.
• Nonprofit experience is welcome.
• Strong technical writing and ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Experience with Davis-Bacon, environmental reviews, reimbursements, and federal property processes is a plus.
• Experience using grants.gov, GSA contractor portals, and other funding portals.
• Ability to identify grant opportunities and guide clients on competition strategies.
• Independent worker with attention to detail and collaborative skills.
• Ability to produce quick applications when deadlines press.

Responsibilities

• Research and identify potential grant funding opportunities.
• Create annual plans with targeted opportunities to meet client priorities.
• Develop community profiles for grant applications with plans and demographics.
• Collaborate with program managers, staff, and stakeholders to gather information for grant applications.
• Prepare customized grant applications including narratives, budgets, demographics, maps, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee grant projects from award to closeout, including schedule, budget, policies, and reimbursements.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
• Liaise with funding agencies and community organizations as a client contact.
• Provide training on grant application basics, best practices, and compliance requirements.
