Job summary

The Salvation Army NEOSA Division is seeking a Grant Writer to research and write government proposals, United Way applications, and private foundation requests to fund current operations and create new funding for programs across the NEOSA footprint.

Responsibilities include submitting reports, gift acknowledgements, maintaining a grants calendar, and coordinating with the Director and staff to drive fundraising success. Strong writing and nonprofit fundraising experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of writing and/or non-profit development experience.
• Proven track record of successful grant writing.
• Experience in government agency funding is desired.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for government funding for Corps in the Division.
• Develop grant proposals to third-party public entities and foundations.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on funded program activities.
• Maintain files and correspondence to meet funders’ requirements.
• Cultivate revenue-generating relationships with government, foundations, and corporate personnel.
