The BrandLab is seeking a detail-oriented Grant Writer to support fundraising efforts. This remote position requires 3+ years of grant writing experience and exceptional writing skills to create compelling proposals for foundations, corporate, and government funders. Position: Grant Writer (contract)
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Remote or Minneapolis, MN (preferred)
Contract Length: 6 months, with possibility for extension
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
The BrandLab seeks a detail-oriented, experienced Grant Writer (Contract) to support our fundraising efforts through the development of compelling proposals, prospect research, and reports to foundation, corporate, and government funders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing grants, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to synthesize complex information into persuasive, asset-framed, and mission-aligned narratives.

Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
Draft and submit letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and supporting materials
Coordinate with program and finance staff to gather data and develop budgets and outcomes
Track submission deadlines and reporting requirements for active grants
Prepare interim and final reports for funders in collaboration with internal teams
Maintain accurate records of proposals, deadlines, and communications in the grant tracking system
3+ years of grant writing experience for nonprofit organizations
Demonstrated success in securing foundation, corporate, or government funding
Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects at once
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Familiarity with nonprofit budgets and outcomes-based reporting
