Freelance Writers – Media, Politics, and Advocacy

ToSpeakOnline.comis seeking freelance writers to contribute essays, stories, and commentary that cut through noise with clarity, credibility, and voice. We’re not looking for hot takes. We want writers who haveearnedtheir perspective—through credentials, lived experience, or meaningful accomplishment.

I'm NOT INTERESTED IN ENGAGEMENT - I seek to create a space of active participation with academic concepts applied to modern day events to demonstrate the value of education.

For example, I have a column called Readical. The purpose, to read a book on topics to educate myself or increase my knowledge, demonstrating I've made an effort to educate myself on a topic and then apply the learned concepts to modern events. I want to set an example, promote reading and education.

This is a call for thinkers, survivors, professionals, and some style. If you’ve got something to say, and the reasoning to back it up—I want your voice.

What We’re Looking For:

Freelancers with range– political analysis, personal essays, social commentary, investigative reporting, or cultural critique.
Writers with a stake in the story– lived experience, academic or professional experience, subject-matter expertise, or unique perspective.
Style– smart, sharp, and unafraid to challenge dominant narratives.
Comfort with collaboration– We employ SEO to our writing pieces so titles, meta description and keywords may require collaboration.
Familiarity with WordPress– preferred. We’ll create your own author profile and structured metadata using Google’s EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) guidelines to help build your digital credibility.
Awareness of journalistic standards– including accurate attribution and clear citation of sources (e.g., AP, APA, or similar). You should be comfortable grounding arguments in research and using hyperlinks or footnotes to reference your sources. We are linked with Google News and other news aggregators, therefore we will maintain that standard.
Expertise - we want to bring back the value of expertise and experience, for example if you have an opinion you have earned that opinion.
Media manipulation, misinformation and media literacy
Concept application (academic concepts applied to current events)
Disability, identity, and public policy (we value contributors with lived experience)

This is an unpaid internship.
I will trade my time in providing you with what you would like to learn. For example, web design (Wordpress, Plugins, E-Commerce), SEO tools (AIO SEO program training), Web development skills (Microsoft tools, Adsense, Yandax est.), writing skills, Adobe Premiere Pro, and affiliate marketing.
